Day 1: USA
Start your journey at JFK or Newark Airport. Meals will be served aboard overnight flight.

Day 2: London
Arrive in London where the group will be met by a tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the balance of day at leisure to explore the city on your own.  Dinner and overnight in London. (D)

Day 3: London
After breakfast enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of London, England’s magnificent capital city. See the famous Tower of London, London Bridge, Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben besides the River Thames. Enjoy a visit to view the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, if held. Dinner on your own and overnight in London. (B)

Day 4: London / Canterbury / London
Depart London after breakfast for an excursion to Canterbury.  In the Middle Ages this was the most heavily traveled road to England.  One of the highlights of the pilgrimage will be a visit to the Cathedral of Canterbury where St. Anselm served as the archbishop from 1093–1109. This magnificent structure is one of the most famous churches in England. This is also the location of where St. Anselm is buried. Visit also to the shrine of the martyr Thomas Becket. Return to London for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 5: London
Begin today with a guided tour of Westminster Cathedral. Continue to the highlight of the day, a visit to Westminster Abbey, the burial place of St. Edward the Confessor (also referred to as the patron saint of kings). See St. Edward’s Chair, used to this day for royal coronations.  St. Edward died in 1066 and was canonized in 1161. This magnificent abbey was rebuilt by Henry III specifically to house the relics of St. Edward. Many of the most famous historical English figures, including many monarchs, are buried in Westminster Abbey.  Dinner on your own and overnight in London. (B)

Day 6: London / Oxford / London
Depart after breakfast for an excursion to Oxford. Famous for its world renowned university (the oldest university in the English speaking world), Oxford plays an important role in the history of England.  Visit the university as well as the famous city centre. Return to London for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 7: London
Enjoy a day at leisure in London for personal shopping, sightseeing or relaxing.  You may wish to participate in an optional theatre visit to London’s famed West End at additional cost. Dinner and overnight in London. (B, D)

Day 8:  London
/ USA
Depart after breakfast from London. Arrive USA same day. (B)
