DAY 1: DEPART U.S.A.
Depart U.S. from JFK or Newark Airport. Enjoy dinner served aboard overnight flight.
DAY 2: MILAN / PADUA
Arrive Milan Airport where the group will be met by the tour guide and transferred to Padua, the town where St. Anthony spent the final years of his life. Enjoy an afternoon tour of Padua with a visit to the 13th century Basilica of St. Anthony with its beautiful bronze artwork by Donatello. Also visit his Tomb, located in the Basilica where we will celebrate Mass, the Chapel of Reliquaries, and take some time for private devotions. Dinner and overnight in Padua. (D)
DAY 3: PADUA / BOLOGNA / FLORENCE
Depart Padua for Florence, but first we stop in Bologna to see the Shrine of St. Catherine and her incorrupt body, St. Dominic’s tomb and the Church of Saint Sigismund which houses the relics of Blessed Imelda Lambertini, Patroness of First Holy Communion, and where Mass will be celebrated. Continue to Florence for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
DAY 4: FLORENCE
Today enjoy Florence, the city considered to be the cultural heart of Italy. After breakfast, visit the Church of St. Ambrose, where two Eucharistic Miracles occurred in 1230 and 1595. Mass will be celebrated here. Also, visit the Carmelite Monastery where the incorrupt body of St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi is kept, and we will visit some of Florence’s important sites including the Duomo, the Baptistry designed by Giotto, and Santa Croce - The famous church where Dante, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci among others are buried. We will also see the famous statue of the ““David” as well. Dinner on your own and overnight in Florence. (B)
DAY 5: FLORENCE / CORINALDO / LORETO
After breakfast depart for Corinaldo, birthplace of Saint Maria Goretti. In Corinaldo, visit Maria Goretti’s four-room house and her bedroom; the Church of San Francisco, where St. Maria Goretti was baptized and confirmed, and see her marble shrine with her uplifted arm. Go below in the crypt of the Church (Addolorata), to see the bone of this arm enshrined within the center tabernacle and brought out for veneration. Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Church. Walk a short distance to the Chapel of the Madonna of the Incancellata where St. Maria loved to pray. Dinner and overnight in Loreto. (B, D)
DAY 6: LORETO / LANCIANO / ROME
After breakfast visit the Basilica where the home of the Holy Family of Nazareth now stands without a foundation. Stand beneath the Angel’s Window where the Annunciation took place. Mass will be held here. Depart for Lanciano and a visit to the relic of the living flesh of Jesus in a special Monstrance and Tabernacle. Then enjoy an explanation of the miracle by the custodian Fr. Gabrielle (if available). Time for private prayer and devotion before Jesus miraculously present. The group will continue to Rome. Enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour from your motorcoach of some of the other important sights of Rome, including the Palazzo Venezia, the Circus Maximus, the Forum, the Arch of Constantine and the world famous Colosseum. Dinner and overnight in Rome. (B, D)
DAY 7: ROME
The group will attend one of the highlights of the trip, the Papal Audience (if available). After the Audience enjoy a guided tour of St. Peter’s Basilica, and visit St. John Lateran, the Holy Stairs, and St. Mary Major. Dinner and overnight in Rome. (B, D)
DAY 8: ROME / U.S.A.
Depart for Rome Airport. Arrive home same day. (B)
