Day 1: DEPART USA
Depart New York area airport on an international flight to Paris. Enjoy dinner served aboard overnight flight.

Day 2: PARIS / Rouen / Lisieux
Arrive early morning in Paris where you will be met by our Professional Tour Escort and transferred to Lisieux. En route we visit Rouen, former capital of Normandy, with its remains of St. Joan of Arc, France's patron saint. During the stop we will visit the richly decorated 11th century Cathedral of Notre Dame, a masterpiece of gothic architecture. Then continue through the delightful Normandy countryside, full of green fields, half‑timbered houses and vast apple orchards. We complete our drive to Lisieux, the town of St. Therese. Dinner and overnight in Lisieux. (D)

Day 3: LISIEUX
After breakfast, enjoy orientation tour of Lisieux and visit the places associated with the life of St. Therese including the Great Basilica dedicated to her, the Carmelite Convent, the Buissonets (home of the Martin family), and other places of importance. Spend an afternoon at leisure in Lisieux with time for personal sightseeing, devotion or relaxation. Dinner on your own and overnight in Lisieux. (B)

Day 4: LISIEUX / NORMANDY BEACHES / MONT ST. MICHEL
We will continue to Caen, the "Benedictine City," called the Gem of Normandy, which was in the center of the terrible fighting that followed the Allied invasion. Here we will see the castle of William the Conqueror, and the twin abbeys built by William and his wife Matilda of Flanders, as a condition of the Pope's raising the excommunication served on them. Then on to the Normandy beaches, famous for the D‑Day landings, and the enormously impressive American cemetery at Omaha Beach. Arrive in Mont St. Michel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 5: MONT ST. MICHEL / PONTMAIN / MONT ST. MICHEL
Morning departure to Pontmain to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Pontmain. Return to Mont St. Michel. Afternoon visit to the famous Abbey of Mont St. Michel, perched on a rocky isle in the Gulf of Saint Malo. Its awesome fortifications were attacked many times during the Hundred Years' War, but never captured. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Mont St. Michel. (B)

Day 6: MONT ST. MICHEL / PARIS
Depart Mont St. Michel early morning for Paris. We will then continue for a brief sightseeing tour of Paris including the Elysee Palace, residence of France's presidents, Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, and the Place de la Concorde.  Dinner and overnight in Paris. (B, D)

Day 7: PARIS
In the morning we will visit the Cathedral of Notre Dame. After lunch (on your own), we continue to visit Sacre Coeur. You will also be offered an OPTIONAL half day trip to see the magnificent palace of Versailles and its beautiful gardens (at additional cost) or spend time on your own to walk the area of Montmartre before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight in Paris. Day 8: PARIS / USA
Depart after breakfast for Paris airport. Arrive in the US same day. (B)
